Texas Christian Writers Conference 2016

Conference is Coming
The Texas Christian Writers Conference will be on August 6, 2016 at Houston's First Baptist Church.
Faculty this year includes DiAnn Mills as Keynote speaker and workshop instructor. Others are Cynthia Hickey, Kathy Ide, Janice Thompson, Martha Rogers, and Michelle Hernandez.

WHAT TO BRING • Notebook and paper for taking notes • Light wrap or sweater as classrooms may be chilly • Money if you want to purchase books in the bookstore (payment by cash or check only) • A manuscript and/or notes to discuss during your one-on-one session with faculty.

 DIRECTIONS Eastbound on I-10: Exit at Post Oak/Silber. Continue on feeder to church. Turn right, and follow street around to the south parking lot across from First Baptist Academy. Enter church through the Fitness & Recreation Center, and follow signs to the Fellowship Center. Westbound on I-10 East: Exit at Antoine. Turn left under freeway, and follow feeder to church as above. From Loop 610: Take I-10 West, and follow directions above after exit at Antoine.

Great Conference

The 2011 TCWC has come and gone, but we're already gearing up for next year. The contest opens January 1, so start working on those manuscripts and get them ready for 2012. If you want a copy of the guidelines, let me know and we'll get them to you.

Thank you, Danny, for you hard work. Your first time as a director came shining through. We had a lot of fun.

Be sure to let us know if you want a brochure next spring for the 2012 Conferenct to be held on August 4.

August 2011 Conference

August 6 is just around the corner and there's still time to register. DiAnn Mills is our Keynote speaker and will also present 2 workshops. Other faculty includes Janice Thompson, Fiction Author; Terry Burns, Agent; Anita Higman, Fiction and Non-Fiction Author; Melanie Stiles, Poetry; Lisa Ludwig, Fiction Author; Martha Rogers, Fiction Author; Cindy Sproles, Non-Fiction Author; Eddie Jones, Non-fiction Author, and Henry McLaughlin; Non-fiction Author.

Registration includes a Continental Breakfast, Lunch, and snacks at break times. We will have a book store featuring books by our faculty and door prizes. Fees are $95, $85 for Seniors 60+, and $100 for a married couple. You may register at the door if you can't do it before August 6.

Writer's Conference

It's almost here, but still time to register for the lower amount. All fees go up by $10 after July 15. All the plans are in place and this will be a great conference. Contest winners have been determined and those awards will be presented at lunch. If you need a registration form, contact me through my website and I'll send you a brochure. Hope to see you there.
